Description
Mandige is a crispy sweet that is popular in the southern states, particularly Karnataka. It is made from a delicate dough consisting of refined flour, ghee (clarified butter), and sugar, which is rolled into thin layers and deep-fried until it turns golden and crispy. The sweet is often made even better by sprinkling a little powdered sugar on top. Sometimes, it’s also flavored with cardamom, which gives it a nice, pleasant smell.
